Prospecting Orange County

Hero wandered around in his mind. He was running out of options and every target he focused on became a dud. The one he wanted, victim of love no longer interested him. It was pointless for him to pursue her since her mind and emotional immaturity lacked stability and risk. She loved to flirt and was the social butterfly within the community they both belonged to. Hero still desired her, but now his interest in her lead him to become bored and restless. He wanted to dump her, but his mind still obsessed over the fact, why did he want something he could not have?

Hero managed to keep his options open, during the Saturday Night Social he met a woman from the OC – Orange County. She was criminal of passion, they shared an embrace that appear to be more than an embrace. She, criminal of passion, like the victim of love acted flirtatious around men. Unlike victim, criminal hugged the guys longer, more intensely than necessary. She wanted passion, to be loved. The husband she lived with cheated on her. She didn't find out until fifteen years into their marriage. That was five years ago.

Double Life

Hero sat across from her. After the short conversation on the drive over and waiting for their table, he felt slightly more comfortable chatting with her. It was not a date or even remotely resembling a first date. They were just having dinner together.

Hero looked at her admiringly, then reached out with both his hands and asked for hers. She brought up her hands from underneath the table and placed them on top of his. He looked at them, comparing them. He noticed, but wasn't sure if he had seen a double life line. The line came and went from her palm. Hero told her she had a double life.

She reacted surprisingly astonished at his find. She told him that she in fact led a double life and continued to tell him about parts of her life no one else knew. She had a son, worse part was that she was married. Hero's heart sank.

Hero could not believe his ears and his male ego. His ego shattered into disillusionment as she answered questions about her marriage. Somehow, hero was not surprised. He felt the doors to getting laid clang shut as hope dissipated from him.

A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing?

Hero sat in between her and the victim of love. Two beautiful blond women who in individually provided lust and a desire in him. During the break, she had asked him if he had dinner, to which he instantly gave a negative reply. Hero somewhat had lost interest in victim of love due to her paradox – unable to give love in order to receive and unable to receive in order to give. He would apply his focus elsewhere.

After the social, hero asked her if she wanted to go out to dinner. He felt a bit nervous, especially with a beautiful woman who he always had an attraction to. For awhile hero stressed out, trying to find his mode of conversation as he drove to the restaurant. He began to get comfortable as time moved on.

They sat close together waiting for a table to open up. Conversing quietly, hero found himself amazed he was out with her. She was beautiful. He would be extremely patient and a gentleman in his demeanor. He very much wanted to impress her.

After fifteen minutes, they were called to their table, the hunt was on – prey/predator.
